luxData.vz® - traffic signposts need software too
New feature in the sixData GmbH portfolio.

The City of Mannheim is investing in the new product by sixData GmbH and will use it to administrate around 60,000 traffic signs.

vzData® is the basis for efficient and modern operation of traffic signposts. Municipal signposting includes road signs as specified by the Highway Code, directional signs and billboards, etc. Municipal signposting is an important instrument in influencing traffic and is increasingly in the public interest.

Regulation and information of traffic, i.e. reduction in the flood of information due to excessive signposting are the two poles between which efficient administration of the signposting must take place.

This programme version of vzData® was developed in such a way that it can also be administrated smoothly in luxData or can also function as a stand-alone version. This means that the data relating to lighting and signposting can be kept in one database. Intelligent use restrictions mean that each user can be assigned the right to use the lighting module, the signposting module or both. Traffic signs are often attached to the lighting masts. When painting or examining masts, is it of interest to know on which masts the traffic signs are attached? In vzData®, it is not necessary to create a mast file, as the traffic signs are assigned to the lighting point. This provides a system that delivers clear information.
