luxData®
with GIS
In the following, we describe cope of functions for an interface
between luxData® and a GIS system such as SICAD SD.
Starting situation:
- The customer has luxData® and the material data is already registered and available.
- There is a digital map of the city.
- The sites of the lighting points and switch cabinets (objects) are also available
as coordinates.
Basic scope of an interface:
- Selection of objects in luxData® for provision in the GIS.
- luxData® provides a menu item that opens the GIS.
- Selection of lighting points can be displayed in GIS. (amendment of the GIS page
is necessary.
Possible upgrades:
- Selection of objects in GIS and display in luxData®.
- Displacement of objects in GIS and updating of the coordinates in luxData®.
- Creation of lighting points in luxData® and subsequent positioning in GIS. In
this context, a position aid should be provided in GIS for lighting points that
are only installed informally according to visual judgement. E.g. positioning of
10 lighting points along an auxiliary line of 250 metres.
- Creation of objects in GIS and maintenance in luxData®.
- Deletion of objects in luxData® automatically deletes objects in GIS.
- Deletion of objects in GIS marks objects for deletion in luxData®.
- Search for objects and streets should be possible directly in GIS using NR or name.
- Consistency assessment whether all objects in GIS also exist in luxData® and
vice versa.
- Presentation of selected object volumes in GIS with freely defined legends/symbols
for the object classifications.
- Double click on an object displays the basic object data in GIS.
- Selection of many objects presents list with basic values.
- Regional districts and master areas, etc., should be able to be defined as areas
and should also be presented in a selected and differentiated form.
